Peach and Mint Julep Derby Party Inspiration

It's Derby week in Louisville, KY, so I put together a peach and mint julep inspiration board for you! I think that these colors would be great for a Derby party or spring bridal shower, and here's why:

I like to be a little adventurous and unexpected with my designs. I start with a concept like a Derby party and first ask what's standard and what's expected? Then I ask what's not expected? And finally, how can I can combine those things to make something that is unexpectedly appropriate? That's why I did the peach and mint julep board. It's not completely revolutionary, but I think everyone's going to think to make mint juleps and put them in silver cups. What if I use the color mint instead, and find an interesting mint julep cup? Once I decided to do a play on the mint julep by incorporating it into my palette I saw an awesome opportunity to introduce one of the spring's most popular color palettes: peach and mint. Peaches are so southern, y'all, so I knew that was it! Take a look at my Peach and Mint Julep Derby Party Inspiration, and let me know what you think!
