Whether you're hosting, attending, or the guest of honor at a bridal shower you want to dress appropriately. I'm sure we've all had an awkward experience in life where we showed up to an event over or underdressed, feeling a little silly about not getting the, "we're all wearing dresses," memo. So, first as a general rule, most bridal showers are going to be a dress/skirt type of event. I think it's hard to go wrong with a jersey or cotton sundress like the coral one in the first image below. But some bridal showers are going to be more formal and some are going to be less formal. You can take cues from the style of the shower invitation, the shower theme and venue, and who's hosting it. Is the groom's mother hosting it in her backyard? Then you're probably going to want to leave the white lace heels at home. Is it being held somewhere super chic and trendy? Bring on the heels and prepare to accessorize. Of course, if you're at a complete loss for what to wear and the invitations offer no clues, you can always ask the hostess.
In this edition of What to Wear to a Bridal Shower I've put together a collection of bridal shower dresses and accessories inspired by our Champagne Brunch Bridal Shower shoot, which we will be featuring in an upcoming blog post. I stuck with our bright berry color palette of corals, pinks, and purples and accessories with neutrals and metallics.
