a laid-back eclectic celebration

The crystal chandeliers and exposed brick walls of the penthouse loft at Patrick O’ Shea’s in downtown Louisville, KY were made even more endearing for this casual event. Pink floral arrangements were contrasted with the emerald accents of the Irish Pub. Modern black and white linens mixed with vintage serving piece to create truly eclectic wedding.

elegance meets rustic woodland

I paired contrasting design elements like delicate Bavarian crystal and heavy weathered wood to create a look that was elegantly rustic. Feminine place cards in antler holders and classically beautiful ivory roses wrapped in birch wood combined pretty with woodland. Textures of faux fur and lace added warmth, charm, and dimension. A luxury stationery suite was custom designed with graceful script fonts and a stunning vintage interlocking monogram. Rustic still rules with weddings, but it has evolved to become more refined, and I really enjoyed exploring this new direction.

a glamorous southern wedding gets cozy

The romantic concept was inspired by the Southern charm of the Nashville, TN venue. A color palette of toasty cinnamon and mocha with wintry steel blue and aquamarine embodied the transition from fall to winter. Ethereal elements mixed with classic pieces creating whimsy.

a welcoming fall wedding filled with vintage details

On a warm day in early October, Bree and Ben were married on a private estate that was once the county's poor farm. The leaves had begun to change, and the venue was perfect for the bride and groom who were farmers themselves. A special menu featuring food from the couple's own farm as well as other local farms was prepared for guests. Vintage decorations like amber apothecary bottles, delicate lace, and weathered barn wood crates called to mind an earlier time. Old family wedding photos and bouquets crafted out of flowers gathered from the nearby farm of a family friend created a beautiful personal touch. Together, we created a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere for the 250 family and friends that joined Bree and Ben to celebrate their romance.

a dramatic 1920s Jazz lounge inspired wedding filled with glamorous details

Janelle-Renee and Joe's wedding was a moody love affair with music that took place at the University of Louisville's Alumni Club in Louisville, KY. Both the bride and groom were formally trained jazz musicians, and it was important to the couple that their wedding decorations uniquely reflect who they are. The venue was full of rich burgundy and gold tones, and featured vaulted ceiling with rows of crystal chandeliers. We worked to enhance the beauty of the venue, and brought in Art Deco elements that spoke of the Jazz Age. Wedding guests were asked to dress the part, and many did. The bride and groom were married against a custom burgundy velvet backdrop that resembled a stage. We brought in lots of mood and shimmer with our gold mercury glass votives and vases. Guests danced the night away to live entertainment that belted out songs in 1920's inspired garb. This soulful fete was one of the most fun weddings we've ever had the privilege of designing and decorating.
